The Winner of the December Arcadia competition
A huge thank you to Arcadia for offering up this great prize of an Eco-Aqua 30w LED Spotlight.
It is great to have such a huge player on board with us on The Salty Box.
We had a great response to this competition. All of the correct answers to question number one were entered.
Question 1 was:-
How many high power CREE LEDs are used in the Arcadia Eco-Aqua 30w spotlight?
The answer is: 12
All of the correct entries were sent annonymously so everything was done fairly.
Here were the final 5 tiebreakers after whittling all of the entries down:-
** The new Arcadia spotlight is a revelation in the light of life my reef deserves (Owner Salty box user name Parkinson)
** It is crucial component of the space shuttle I'm building in my garage. (owner Ern)
** I think I should win, as I have Light Envy Disorder ,or LED and this light would really help with my therapy (Owner Salty box user name Killi )
** Because…T5 and Halides are SO last year (Owner Salty box user name MartynIT )
** I am only 15, but for 3 years have worked very hard to maintain, and fund my reef tank, and would be over joyed to receive this lighting unit as a treat for all my hard work! (Owner unknown as I did not get his/her username or name)
There could only be one winner & they went for this:-

They tell me they looked hard at all of the entrants and the key factor of the tiebreaker being interesting or funny was the decider in choosing their final 5.

ps My favourite & that made me laugh was "Because ....T5 and Halides are SO last year" but sadly for the owner of that entry, I was not the person choosing the winner.
