The Orange Lipped Conch is one of the most efficient cleaners of an aquarium sand bed. They will roam the base of your tank, sucking up any algae or debris from the sand. Due to their super efficiency, care should be taken to ensure your snail doesn't starve to death in your tank. If their regular food supply runs out, they will require additional feeding of sinking algae wafers.

Like other invertebrates, they are intolerant to copper and high nitrates.
