Crab is a very large and aggressive crab for large aquariums only. This type of crab can even catch small fish. Like its much smaller cousins, needs larger shells to move into as it grows. This crab is a predator and scavenger. This is not a reef safe crab and will certainly eat other invertebrates and small fish.

The Giant Hermit Crab is a very large and aggressive crab for large aquariums only. This type of crab can even catch small fish. Like its much smaller cousins, needs larger shells to move into as it grows. This crab is a predator and scavenger. This is not a reef safe crab and will certainly eat other invertebrates and small fish. Decorations and tank equipment must also be protected against its strong claws.

Iodide levels must be properly maintained as this substance is required for healthy moulting.

As with all invertibrates it is sensitive to high nitrate levels and copper-based medications
