Other Comments:
The Pectinia is a SPS coral, and is also commonly called a Lettuce Coral, Hibiscus Coral, Palm Coral, Carnation Coral, or a Cabbage Coral. They generally form cabbage like colonies and have ruffled branches that terminate in sharp points. They are available in various colours though usually green or brown and the colour usually darkens towards the centre of the colony.

They are generally peaceful but space must be provided about their colonies of up to 6" because of their stinging sweeper tentacles.

It is not a coral for the novice reef keeper as it is quite difficult to maintain

To keep this coral in good health, it will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.
