Red Chili Coral
Red Chili Coral (Nephthyigorgia sp.) has a finger like body and is bright to deeper scarlet red with white polyps. Red Chili Coral are peaceful Coral, but it will still require space between itself and other Coral within your reef aquarium. These Corals are easy to maintain in the reef aquarium.

Lighting Requirements: Non photosynthetic, does not require light. Do not place directly under bright lights, place in lower areas of the tank or in caves, out of the direct path of light, preferably in shaded areas.
Flow Requirements: medium to high water current, does best with alternating/pulsating/changing water movement.
Tank Position: Sand Bed
Feeding Requirements:supplemental feeding with foods such as liquid phytoplankton or Cyclpos, but don't over do it.
Temperament / Behavior: Peaceful

These Corals are easy to maintain in the reef aquarium and make an excellent coral for the beginning reef aquarist.Strawberry Corals require low to moderate lighting along with medium water movement. They will also benefit from a wave maker to give a alternating, pulsating, changing water movement. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of iodine, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. It does not contain symbiotic algae, so lighting is not a pressing requirement, however, this means the Chili Cactus Coral must be fed. You should feed your Red Chili Coral micro-plankton, Cyclop-eeze, baby brine shrimp, Mysis Shrimp or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
